Caracal Cram ("we," "us") is an SAT Math prep website at caracalcram.com, run by a sole proprietor in California. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email support@caracalcram.com.
The short version
- We collect only what we need to run your study plan: your email, your test date, and your answers and progress.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
- We don't use analytics or advertising trackers.
- You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.
- Caracal Cram is for students 13 and older.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your email address and password. Your password is stored in scrambled (hashed) form, so no one at Caracal Cram can see it. If you choose "Continue with Google," Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us.
- Your test date and how much time you want to study each day.
- Your diagnostic test answers: the answer you chose, whether it was right, and how long you spent on each question. This is how we find what to work on.
- Your lesson progress: which lessons you've finished.
- Tutoring bookings: when you book a session, you give your name and email to our scheduling provider (we fill in your email for you), along with anything you choose to write in the booking form.
- Messages you send us, like emails to support.
- Purchases: our payment processor handles your card details. We receive a record of what you bought, when, and for how much, but never your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Your time zone, so "today" in your plan matches your day.
- Sign-in cookies that keep you logged in. The site needs these to work. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
- One setting saved in your browser: whether "focus reading" is on in lessons. It stays on your device.
- Basic technical logs that our hosting provider keeps to run and protect the site, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested.
Taking the diagnostic test without an account
You can take the diagnostic test without signing up. Your answers are saved under a random ID, not your name or email. If you later save your results to an account, they're linked to that account.
How we use your information
- To run Caracal Cram: build your study plan, show your results and progress, and hold tutoring sessions.
- To send account emails, like confirming your email address or resetting your password.
- To answer your questions.
- To improve our lessons and questions, for example by seeing which questions students find hardest.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
- To follow the law.
We don't sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build a profile of you for anything except your own study plan.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Caracal Cram, and only what each one needs to do its job:

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or if Caracal Cram is ever transferred to a new owner, who would have to keep following this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as purchase records for taxes. Diagnostic results that were never saved to an account are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time: sign in and go to the Results page, at the bottom. It takes effect right away.
You can also email support@caracalcram.com at any time to:
- get a copy of your information,
- correct it, or
- delete your account and your information.
We'll respond within 30 days. To protect your account, we may ask you to write from the email address on the account.
Students under 18
Caracal Cram is for students 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email support@caracalcram.com and we'll delete it.
If you're under 18, please read this policy with a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians can contact us to see or delete their teen's information. We never publish what you submit, but if you're under 18 and want anything you've given us removed, just ask.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords only in hashed form, and limit who can access your data. No website can promise perfect security, but if a breach ever affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Do Not Track
We don't track you across other websites, and we don't let anyone else do so on ours. So we treat every visitor the same, whether or not their browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
